Washington DC Ritz Carlton Christmas Surprise Proposal
The week of Christmas I captured this surprise proposal at The Ritz Carlton in Georgetown! This couple got engaged as they walked into their suite greeted by the tree and desserts and champagne already prepared by the hotel. We recreated the proposal moment as it was not possible for me to be already in the room waiting for when they walked in. After recreating the surprise proposal I captured images of the ring up close and portraits in the suite, the halls of the hotel and outside with one of the displays from Georgetown Glow. An in room surprise marriage proposal during Christmas time at The Ritz Carlton was definitely a unique idea for this special occasion. A Georgetown Waterfront surprise proposal and engagement session! Georgetown is one of my favorite locations for surprise proposal and engagement photography since it offers so much between the park, waterfront area, urban area, bridges, and the Georgetown canal. This proposal took place at the waterfront! Afterwards we walked by some of the best spots for portraits including the restaurant where this couple went one one of their first dates! Picking a location that has meaning is a great ideal when planning a surprise proposal! The bridge that goes over the canal is also a great spot to go for portraits.

Washington DC Georgetown Waterfront Park Surprise Marriage Proposal
The Georgetown Waterfront is a popular location for surprise proposals and engagement sessions in Washington DC! The area is surrounded by restaurants and shops with the waterfront park area, canal, and cool pathways. The waterfront has a view of The Potomac and Kennedy Center! During the early morning is was not very busy making it a great spot for a private proposal in a public park. Walking around the area we captured some beautiful portraits!
