Mary Livingston Ripley Garden Surprise Proposal
Mary Livingston Ripley Garden Surpirse Proposal - DC Surprise Proposal Photographer
Washington, DC has many beatiful garden locations for planning a surprise proposal! Here is a surprise proposal photographed at the Mary Livingston Ripley Garden right near the National Mall. The Mary Livingston Ripley Garden is a quiet garden for countless visitors to the National Mall each year. Its unusual curvilinear design—the work of noted Washington, D.C., architect Hugh Newell Jacobsen—along with many flowers in raised beds, creates a distinctive sense of intimacy and informality. The garden’s ‘goal’ is to expose visitors to a wide variety of plants and inspire people to expand their plant palette. In the garden’s early years, Smithsonian staff transplanted euonymus from the family home of Smithsonian Secretary S. Dillon Ripley in Litchfield, Connecticut, to form the east wall’s espaliers. Check out a few photos from this surprise engagement:

DC George Mason Memorial Surprise Proposal with Peak Cherry Blossom Bloom
DC George Mason Memorial Surprise Proposal with Peak Cherry Blossom Bloom
The George Mason Memorial in Washington, D.C., is a bit of a hidden gem—quiet, reflective, and beautifully designed, tucked away just off the beaten path near the more famous monuments. The memorial is located in West Potomac Park, just south of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and along the Tidal Basin. It’s peaceful, surrounded by trees and flowers, and especially lovely when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. It was dedicated in 2002, making it one of the newer memorials on the National Mall. This is a more quiet spot for a surprise proposal with peak bloom during spring with a good view of the monument in the distance!

Washington, DC Surprise Proposal at COnstitution Gardens
Washington DC Surprise Proposal Photographer
Constitution Gardens is a peaceful, scenic spot located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., it’s located within walking distance between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. It’s one of those hidden gems that’s a little more low-key compared to its iconic neighbors, making it a great spot for quiet walks, reflective moments or a romantic surprise proposal! Constitution Gardens has a 6-acre pond with a small island connected by a footbridge. The 56 Signers of the Declaration of Independence Memorial sits on the island. The area was transformed into gardens in the 1970s on what used to be the site of the Navy’s Main Building during WWII. It’s bordered by Constitution Avenue to the north and sits between the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Reflecting Pool. This location is highly recommend for surprise proposals since its less crowded than other parts of the Mall, which makes it feel more intimate and personal
Why Constitution Gardens is the perfect option for a surprise proposal in DC:
Backdrop of the Washington Monument over the water
Gorgeous light during early morning hours
The island adds a unique, symbolic element—especially the 56 Signers Memorial
Space to spread out without tons of tourists around

Event at hotel at university of maryland | Maryland Event Photographer
Event at The Hotel at University of Maryland
here is another corporate event we photographed at the Hotel at UMD. We’ve photographed multiple events over the past few years in this ballroom at this beatiful hotel! If you’re looking for a corporate event photographer in Maryland we’d love to discuss event photography! Scroll below to view a few highlights from this 60th anniversary corporate celebration:

As an experienced Maryland corporate event photographer, my team’s priority has always been capturing moments of an event that both tell a story and evoke a feeling. Every photograph we make is about something; whether that be an emotion, reaction, or an interaction, I believe there should be meaning behind every photograph. Here are a few images we photographed at a corporate event at the Hotel at UMD.
BELOW ARE THE TYPES OF SHOTS YOU CAN EXPECT, STANDARD WITH EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY COVERAGE.
ESTABLISHING SHOTS AT CORPORATE EVENTS
Establishing shots to give a sense of space and more importantly the scale of a corporate event. They can also be a great way to highlight your premiere DC or Maryland venue. These are great for social media posts or documentation.
We can get photographs from several different perspectives. Example shots include: A shot of a performer or speaker on stage from the perspective of the audience, wide shots from each corner of a banquet hall, convention center, etc, an exterior shot of a venue or a wide shot of the floor of a convention center from a floor from above.
DETAIL SHOTS AT CORPORATE EVENTS
Detail shots we capture include: venue details, event signage, food, and more.
Details matter at a corporate event. We know organizers put in a lot of work to produce an event of any size with many details to show for it. As always, when photographing an event, we photography with the end use in mind. we are there to get the types of images that you are looking for.
CLOSE-UP CANDID PHOTOGRAPHY AT CORPORATE EVENTS
Close-up candid photographs of individuals capture the emotional high points of an event. They can be photographed in a variety of ways, but usually with a telephoto lens and a shallow depth of field. This minimizes distracting elements and allows a viewer to zero in on, and connect with a moment. These are often the images viewers connect with most. we pay special attention to photographing your VIPs such as guest speakers or your CEO, but as always, we work to maximize coverage of an event; we try to get a photo of as many attendees as possible.
GROUP PORTRAITS AT CORPORATE EVENTS
As a roaming event photographer, anytime we see a small group conversing, we are sure to approach them with a smile and simply ask, “hey can we get a shot of you guys?” These shots allow us to be sure to get all of your VIPs in photographs together and help me maximize coverage, making sure to photograph as many attendees as possible. These are often the types of photos guests at corporate events like to share.
DELIVERY & EDITING OF YOUR IMAGES
We do our best to make as many meaningful images capturing your corporate event as possible. Our rates always includes edited images in high resolution with basic usage rights. We understand the need for a fast turnaround time. We offer same day, night of, and even live editing and file delivery. Let us know your turnaround time needs.
