Last fall I met Chris and Lisa to capture their engagement session in Fairfax, Virginia and Washington DC! I always love to meet my couples for an engagement session prior to their wedding, it gives me the chance to get to know them and get them used to how I work as I will be with them all day on their big day! Chris and Lisa got ready at The Commonwealth Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia where they would have their ceremony in front of about 80 of their closest friends and family. The ceremony started off with a special dance after Lisa walked down the isle with her father. Following with a few readings and speeches along with musical performances from family members. Their reception was held at Indigo Landing Restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia right on The Potomac River. The evening consisted of buffet dinner, speeches from friends and family as well as a special wine ceremony to honor those who mean the most to the couple. Guest danced the night away with music by DJ Dario. At the end of the evening I was able to sneak Chris and Lisa out of the reception for night portraits! So glad we got those cool shots!
