Burnside Farm is a beatiful locations with the tulips in bloom for a surprise proposal or engagement photos in Northern Virginia! Burnsides Farm is located at: 11008 Kettle Run Rd., Nokesville, VA 20181. Each year they plant 2 million+ tulips on 20 acres of land. The tulips typically bloom early April. To visit you can purchase tickets online. Tickets do sell out for popular dates! Considering going on a weekday vs a weekend for less crowds. Sunset time is magical for photos with the tulips and the golden hour light at Burnsides Farm!

The Tulips bloom in April just after the cherry blossoms in the DC and Northern Virginia Area. Once of my favorite locations with Tulips and an amazing view from across the river is at the Navy Merchant Memorial! At sunrise this location is pretty private and the light is amazing. Another great location with tulips is at the Netherlands Carillon that also has a DC view from across the river.
