Hains Point is a scenic and historic park located at the southern tip of East Potomac Park in Washington, D.C.Situated where the Potomac River, Anacostia River, and Washington Channel converge, it offers panoramic views of both the D.C. and Arlington skylines. The land that comprises Hains Point was created between 1882 and 1911 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, using dredged material from the Potomac River to form East Potomac Park .
