DC Smithsonian Castle Elopement

The Enid A. Haupt Garden is a beautiful and popular garden located behind the Smithsonian Castle in Washington, D.C. It was created in 1987 and is named after Enid A. Haupt, a philanthropist and supporter of the Smithsonian Institution. The garden is designed in a formal style, with a large central fountain and a variety of seasonal flowers and plants. It is divided into several smaller garden spaces, each with its own unique character and design. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the garden throughout the year, as the plants and flowers are changed seasonally to provide a variety of colors and textures. The garden also features many sculptures and monuments, including a bronze statue of James Smithson, the founder of the Smithsonian Institution. The Enid A. Haupt Garden is free and open to the public from dawn to dusk, and it offers an oasis of greenery and tranquility in the heart of the city.

Washington, DC Self Officiated Wedding Ceremony at Lafayette Park
A self-uniting marriage is where couples are married without the presence of a third party officiant. Only a few states in the US offer this option. Washington, DC is one of the few places where you can self officiate your wedding ceremony! I met this couple at the Hay Adams while they were visiting DC to photograph a few portraits on the rooftop with the view of the White House, Washington Monument, and Jefferson Memorial. After some wedding portraits at the Hay Adams we walked over to Lafayette Park in front of the White House for their self-uniting ceremony! Washington DC Spy Museum Rooftop Wedding
This wedding reception was hosted at the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC! The Spy Museum has several event spaces that can be used for weddings or corporate events! This wedding reception took place on their rooftop terrace with a perfect DC view of The Capitol Building and Washington Monument! We took advantage of the views to get portraits of the couple both during sunset and after sunset! The view from the 7th floor rooftop and the museum make this a unique venue space in DC!
