As a Baltimore & DC event photographer, my teamβs priority has always been capturing moments of an event that both tell a story and evoke a feeling. BELOW ARE THE TYPES OF SHOTS YOU CAN EXPECT, STANDARD WITH EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY COVERAGE.
ESTABLISHING SHOTS AT CORPORATE EVENTS
Establishing shots to give a sense of space and more importantly the scale of a corporate event. They can also be a great way to highlight your premiere Baltimore venue. These are great for social media posts or documentation.
We always get photographs from several different perspectives. Example shots include: A shot of a performer or speaker on stage from the perspective of the audience, wide shots from each corner of a banquet hall, convention center, etc, an exterior shot of a venue or a wide shot of the floor of a convention center from a floor from above.
DETAIL SHOTS AT CORPORATE EVENTS
Detail shots we capture include: venue details, event signage, food, and more.
Details matter at a corporate event. We know organizers put in a lot of work to produce an event of any size with many details to show for it. As always, when photographing an event, we photography with the end use in mind. we are there to get the types of images that you are looking for.
CLOSE-UP CANDID PHOTOGRAPHY AT CORPORATE EVENTS
Close-up candid photographs of individuals capture the emotional high points of an event. They can be photographed in a variety of ways, but usually with a telephoto lens and a shallow depth of field. This minimizes distracting elements and allows a viewer to zero in on, and connect with a moment. These are often the images viewers connect with most. we pay special attention to photographing your VIPs such as guest speakers or your CEO, but as always, we work to maximize coverage of an event; we try to get a photo of as many attendees as possible.
GROUP PORTRAITS AT CORPORATE EVENTS
As a roaming event photographer, anytime we see a small group conversing, we are sure to approach them with a smile and simply ask, βhey can we get a shot of you guys?β These shots allow us to be sure to get all of your VIPs in photographs together and help me maximize coverage, making sure to photograph as many attendees as possible. These are often the types of photos guests at corporate events like to share.
DELIVERY & EDITING OF YOUR IMAGES
We do our best to make as many meaningful images capturing your corporate event as possible. Our rates always includes edited images in high resolution with basic usage rights. We understand the need for a fast turnaround time. We offer same day, night of, and even live editing and file delivery. Let us know your turnaround time needs.

Gala at The National Cathedral | DC Gala Photographer
Gala at The National Cathedral in Washington, DC
Washington, DC has so many beatiful and historic event venues! Here is a recent gala we photographed at the National Cathedral! This was our 4th year photographing this annual gala. Previously this gala was hosted at the National Building Museum and the Andrew Mellon Auditorium. For this gala we photographed the event space, canids and posed photos of attendees, speakers, award winners, auction items, and sponsor signage! Images were provided same day for special media use. Checkout some highlights from this gala below at the National Cathedral:

As an experienced DC corporate event photographer, our priority has always been capturing moments of an event that both tell a story and evoke a feeling. Every photograph we make is about something; whether that be an emotion, reaction, or an interaction, I believe there should be meaning behind every photograph.
They can also be a great way to highlight your DC venue. These are great for social media posts or documentation.
We can get photographs from several different perspectives.

DC Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions
DC Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions
Cherry blossoms are an extremely popular time for scheduling photography sessions in Washington, DC! Each year we offer a select amount of bookings for cherry blossom mini sessions and full sessions at the Tidal Basin for peak bloom! Use our contact form for current rates and availability!
During spring in Washington, DC celebrates The National Cherry Blossom Festival at The Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial! The annual festival celebrates the 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees from the mayor of Tokyo to the city of Washington DC and honoring the friendship between The United States and Japan. Today the festival last about four weekends and attracts about 1.5 million tourist. The blossoms can be seen around The Tidal Basin, Jefferson Memorial, MLK Memorial, and many other areas. Many couples choose the Cherry Blossoms as the perfect time to plan their surprise marriage proposal or engagement session but there are some things to keep in mind!
Dealing with tourist and large crowds: The Cherry Blossom Festival attracts many tourist! So avoiding the busiest times will be beneficial to make sure there is space to get photos without people in them. Sunrise sessions are highly recommended as there are not many tourist out just after sunrise. The later in the day the busier it gets. Going on weekdays instead of weekends is also helpful! During your session we can stop by some of the lower traffic locations to get shots without tourist in them.
Peak Bloom: many clients like to have their photos during peak bloom! Peak bloom happens when 70% or more of the cherry trees blossoms are out. The peak bloom may only last for a few days but the week before or after the bloom will still have many trees in bloom. Peak bloom can be hard to predict especially if you are coming from out of town on a planned trip. If you are flexible on dates, I am happy to be flexible in planning spur of the moment to go during peak bloom for photography sessions! You can read more about peak bloom and up to date predictions on cherryblossomwatch.com. Peak bloom depends on the years rainfall and temperature.
Transportation: As The Cherry Blossom festival attracts thousands of tourist it is recommended to use transportation such as Uber or Metro instead of driving as parking is limited! Metered Parking may be available if you are planning a sunrise session.
Other Locations: Aside from The Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial there are other locations around Washington DC that also have Cherry Blossoms. The National Arboretum and grounds at The Capital also have Cherry Blossoms and other great views. Ask about other locations when planning.
Client Reviews
βJon shot a surprise engagement for us at cherry blossoms up in DC. His efforts were outstanding. Throughout the process (3 months) we kept in contact with him always responding quickly. Jon arrived extremely early the day of the engagement which was good because we got there early as well. Jon knew exactly where he wanted to take pictures but also asked us several times if we had any requests. He sent us a few pictures the same day and we got the full album in less than a week. I highly recommend him.β
Surprise Proposal Photography includes detailed planning/advice, photography session to capture the proposal moment, portraits afterwards, and your online gallery of your beautifully processed high resolution images. The online gallery is easy to share with friends and family!
